My WBC count is inching higher, up to 1.6 and ANC (neutrophils) to 1.4 this week, so getting there. I am 3-weeks post chemo and happy to be out of the hospital. My energy is up, I’d say I’m about 80% back to normal and going to try to go into the offices next week for work a couple of days and see how that goes.
I was ready to head back to the real world when, this afternoon, my company announced a reorganization, which I’m thankful for the timing. Currently, my office is based out of Tampa (although I cover 7 offices in North Florida) but I live in Naples (rent in Tampa), but with the new reorganization, I will be based out of Miami, which is an hour closer than Tampa, and now I can truly say I live in my region (whereas before I didn’t). So, thankful to not sign a lease in Tampa as we were planning to this weekend and looking forward to being based out Miami again (where I grew up – Pembroke Pines). These changes are a little nerve-racking, coming back post-chemo, but change is an inevitable part of life that we just have to accept.
